More pics

Unfortunately we weren't too good at taking
pictures this Christmas with all our family, but
these are a few we did get...

My mom came over on Christmas morning to
open stockings and presents. Grandpa had a
great time wearing Noah's cowboy hat!

It was fun watching all the kids exchange
gifts on Christmas Eve!

Noah & Jax with their cousin Savannah. This is
one of the few pics we have of Noah without his
binki, but he substituted a sucker for it.

Christmas!!!

This Christmas was the best! We had a great time
watching Noah & Jax enjoy every aspect of it! Even
before Noah opened one present, he went over to the
nativity & recognized the baby Jesus- it was the
sweetest thing! This part of the nativity set was a gift
from Ry. We decided to make a Christmas tradition
and add a new piece to it each year.

I think Noah's favorite part of Christmas morning
was that Santa had eaten the milk & cookies he
left out for him.

Jax & Noah fixated on their new portable DVD
player, watching Elmo's world and standing at
their new table that Dad made for them!

Ryan got another tool bag to fit more tools that
he got for Christmas.

Welcome Home James!

This week Ryan's brother, James, returned home from his mission in Zimababwe! We all made shirts that said, "WELCOME HOME ELDER BURT" and wore them to the airport. It was great to see him for the first time in two years! We've had a lot of fun the past few days hearing about all of his experiences. When you hear these stories you're taken back and realize how blessed we really are to have all that we do!

Dental School, Here We Come!

Posted by Picasa Today we found out that Ryan has been accepted to dental school! We heard from Creighton, which is in Nebraska, and also Ohio State! We are so grateful to know that he is now in and that we will soon be starting this new chapter in our lives! We had some fun and made t-shirts to tell our family where we most likely will be going. It's nice to be sticking with the colors blue and white! :) Congrats to Ryan! He is the best hubby a gal could ask for!!!

Christmas Lights!

Posted by PicasaThe other night we went to eat at my uncle and aunt's home and then went down to Temple Square to see the Christmas Lights with Ryan's fam. We had a great time and Noah couldn't get enough of it! It's so neat to go down there to see the lights, look at the navity and remember what Christmas is all about.

Rivalry Game!

Today was the big BYU vs. Utah game and, of course, the
Cougars won!!! We watched the game with my family,
celebrating my nephew, Hunter's, birthday. My entire
family are all Ute fans and so the best part of it was struttin'
our BYU pride and being the ones to cheer for the winning
team! We had a great day enjoying time with family, eating
yummy treats and watching the game!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We met up with a convert from Ryan's mission. She moved here from Japan about 4 years ago, married in the temple, and now is about to adopt her first child. Her name is Yumi and she is really strong in the gospel. We spent Tuesday with her and her husband. They're visiting from South Bend, IN. We went to Chucky Cheeses and played around for a while. Noah loved the games and Jaxon loved the comotion. Afterwards we went to a Japanese restaraunt for some eats and had a great time. The cook grilled on the hibachi right in front of us, sorta like Benihanas. And of course, in lu of rivalry week, Ryan has been sporting his Cougar Tees. The night ended on a great note with Yumi's husband thanking Ryan for baptizing his wife. It made everything worth it! Life is good and sometimes we don't clearly see the blessings of our labors right off, all we can do is continue being grateful. We affect other's lives in ways that may not be immediately apparent, but someday, in this life or the next, they will make themselves evident. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

The Bathroom's Finished!!!

Here's the old bathroom. We really didn't mind the vintage vinyl flooring and the tiny, moldy shower...okay, so we did.

New Bathroom I

Here's the finished bathroom. It took a lot of work, plumbing, electrical, tiling, painting and a lot of carpentry. We're glad to have it done!

New Bathroom II

More shots of the finished bathroom.

Interviewing Back East

Here are some pictures of our trip back east. Ryan interviewed at a few dental schools back there and so we made a trip of it!! We left on Sept. 19th and returned home on the 30th. Twelve entire days just to ourselves - second honeymoon!!! The boys stayed with G-ma Burt in Sandy.

Our first stop was in NYC. That's the statue of liberty in the background if you couldn't tell.

Here's the Washington Monument at dusk. We traveled to Virginia from NYC at 3AM and spent a day in D.C.
