Easter Fun!

This Easter was a lot of fun! On Saturday morning we woke up and went to a couple of Easter egg hunts. Noah is at a fun age and he loved looking for eggs. He's been able to do quite a few, starting Monday night for our family night, where we looked for eggs that had a symbol in each one which reminded us of the crucifixion and resurrection of the Savior. We also dyed hard boiled eggs and made some goodies. On Sunday morning we woke up and saw what the Easter bunny had left and then had a great day going to church and then to celebrate with family. I love spring and all the joy and excitement it brings!

Feliz Cumpleanos, mi hermano!

Yesterday was Chris' birthday. My siblings got together for our monthly fun night and Chris just so happened to have it this month. He made us all a yummy dinner and we decided to celebrate him turning thirty-eight as well! It was a fun night with lots of laughter, where there were almost some "incidents", I will leave it at that. :)

  • What television show or movie did you want to be in when you were little? The Cosby Show
  • Which character or star? Rudy and then later on, Olivia Most embarrassing moment your friends will never let die? Of course, when I've peed my pants. In particular, probably the time in 7th grade when all our friends were at Chucky Cheese's and we were all doing a train down the biggest slide. Well I was laughing so hard, and the space was very confined, so my legs were up on the top, like giving a moon shot, and I accidentally peed. Instead of it being Jen or Julie in front of me, who were used to this kind of thing happening, it had to be one of the boys, Nate Blackshurst. I don't think I've scared anyone that bad before, the look on his face was indescribable!
  • Your proudest moment or accomplishment? Becoming a wife and mama
  • What adult did you have a crush on when you were little? Dylan McDermot in Steel Magnolias
  • What habit or personality trait do you have of your mother or father? I have a habit of eating too fast, from both of my parents.
  • What did you want to change your name to when you were little? Brittany, because that's what my mom said she was going to name me.
  • Who was your first kiss? Brandon
  • What 3 adjectives that someone from high school or middle school would use to describe you? Nice, outgoing, athletic.
  • What hairstyles, clothes, or other accessories did you rock back in the day when it was cool? The tootsie roll bangs that went from ear to ear, jelly shoes, those plastic things that looked like an "O" with a slash in the middle that you'd put the corner of your t-shirt through, I don't remember the name, but they were all different fluorescent colors; white eyliner, thick socks up to the knee, etc
  • What job did those long and annoying surveys in school say you would be good at? Nurse or doctor
  • And what did you try and make the test result outcome be? Anything in the medical field
  • What made you laugh harder than you ever laughed before? Anytime that's made me pee, (that was the reason I would pee),usually talking about middle school memories or Jen's dad's laugh, that would always get us rolling!
  • Favorite memories of hanging out with your best friends? Julie's swimming pool, late nights at Dees & birthday breakfasts atVillage Inn, trips to Arizona with Kait & Kenz, gettin' air in Lindsey's blue taurus and the list goes on, so many fun ones!
  • What's the most trouble you have ever got in with your parents? In 6th grade when I came home and told my mom I had just tried Bud Light and cigs. However my mom was glad that I told her right away.
  • What was your 5 year plan? To go to the U and do my undergrad then try to get into PA or med school. I wasn't planning on getting married until at least 25, sure glad I did though!
  • And last but not least...what is it now? To help Ryan get through dental school, have a couple more kidlins, save up for Japan and Tonga, and try to be the best mom for Noah and Jax!

It's your turn, Sarah & Jeff, Brittany F., Misty, McKenzie and whoever else wants to do this one!

Pet Peeves

So this is kind of random, but the other day Ryan and I were talking with my brother about funny little things and some of our pet peeves. We were first talking about peanut butter and whether crunchy or creamy is better?! Then Ryan brought up the toilet paper roll. All of us seemed to agree that having it over was, no question, the way to put it on. It's funny, though, someone mysterious that comes to grandpa's house always puts it under when they change it, we haven't figured out who it is yet. :) I decided maybe I would do a poll and see what kind of results we get with different opinions. I don't know if it is just me, but I really notice it bigtime if it is under! I guess it's just one of those pet peeves of mine.Kind of interesting, but fun!
