Mother's Day was the best day! Ryan woke me up with a little breakfast tradition he used to do for his mom. He brought me a big platter of fruit, my favorite, with a large pineapple in the middle that had "mom" carved into it and a candle lit in the middle. I wish I could have taken a good picture of it, because my description is not the best, but it was great! Then the boys woke up and surprised me with a cute video they made, along with their sweet little handprints. It was such a wonderful day honoring all the mothers in our lives and I'm so grateful for those who have touched me throughout my life!

California Trip!
We've been fortunate to have spent the past six days in California having a total blast! We decided to take a family vacation before Ryan has to buckle down for school and took the kids to Disneyland and Sea World. We also were able to spend a couple days at the beach!
Last Tuesday we left on a plane at 6:10 AM ( I know, I know it's super early but it was either 6 in the morning or 10 at night, so we chose to have another full day there, which was well worth it!) We arrived, grabbed some breakfast and headed to the home we were staying at in Irvine. Ryan's mission president and his wife had previously invited us to come see them in California and luckily for us, we were able to stay with them most of our trip! They really are some of the nicest people I have ever met and made us feel really comfortable during or stay!
Another awesome thing was that we planned with Jeff & Sarah to be down there at the same time for vacation, so Noah had his little buddy Savannah most the time and loved it!!!
Disneyland was so magical and probably the best day of our family's life. We had perfect weather and perfect little boys, who yes, did go without naps that day. It was so fun to watch them light up as we went from one thing to the next. It's hard to say what Noah's favorite aspect was, but it was probably anywhere from meeting Mickey, to the teacups, to the roller coaster or the parade where Belle blew him a kiss. Jax definitely loved the parade, seeing all the characters. We set a limit with the souvenirs even though we didn't really need to since Noah's favorite thing was probably one of the less expensive items, his Mickey Mouse ears/hat with his name on the back. The whole day was just pure fun!!
We also spent a couple of days at the beach and in San Diego. I wish I had a picture of the motel we stayed in, it was pretty unforgetable! Lets just say I was in tears when we arrived not when we were leaving! :) Luckily, the next night we got to stay with Jeff & Sarah in a bit more comfortable place! We also went to Sea World where we had another great day seeing Shamu, dolphins, sharks, sea lions, pets, Elmo and the Sesame Street characters, etc... We were so grateful that we were able to have such a great time in Cali and have an awesome vacation!!!

1/2 Marathon
We did it! After training (well, me) for a few months Ryan and I finally ran and finished the half marathon! Just a few days before the race, Ryan approached me and said, "I think I might run the 1/2 with you." I was so stoked that he wanted to come and run it. Mind you, Ryan hadn't really been training a whole lot, at least not on a schedule like I was doing, and still just got up that morning and did it! What a stud. I had initially signed up with Lindsey Forrest's family's group and then wasn't even able to find her at the starting line! They did awesome and enjoyed the after effects just as much as we did. :) We had a goal to finish in under 2 hrs and made it by about 2 minutes, so we were happy! My main goal really was to see if I could even finish it and if so, maybe start training to attempt a full marathon. Still deciding on that one though! I had a lot of fun running it, even more so since I had my hubby by me the whole way!!!

Some Dudes
Yesterday we went to Some Dudes Playground, although I don't think it is called that anymore, but had a fun time on all the big toys! It was a great place for Noah and Savannah to run around and climb on everything! Jaxon had a little bit of a hard time keeping up, considering he isn't walking yet, but still had fun!
St. George Trip
So I've been a little behind posting things, but last weekend we decided to take a spontaneous trip to St. George with a couple of my siblings. Thanks to Jeff and Sarah, we were able to go down and have some fun in the warm sun! Matt and Misty had planned to go down for Sierra's dance competition and we decided to tag along with everyone! Thanks guys!!
Noah and Savannah had a great time taking tubbies in the big jet tub, playing with play-doh, flying kites, watching movies, etc...
I have a few more pics that I will post soon. It was a great weekend, can't wait for Cali!
